Planning Exercise (PlanEx)

Test your speed-distance-time calculations and planning in an AOSB logistics scenario.

Scenario: Highland Medevac

At 13:00 hours, an emergency alert arrives from Outpost Delta. A researcher has suffered a serious injury with critical blood loss and hypothermia. You have two concurrent objectives to coordinate from Base Alpha before the storm cutoff at 16:00 hours.

Mission Objectives & Constraints

  • Mission Start Time: 13:00 hrs from Base Alpha.
  • Primary Objective (Casualty Evacuation): The patient must be loaded onto a stretcher and returned to Base Alpha before the medical flight departs at 15:30 hrs.
  • Secondary Objective (Plasma Delivery): The patient must receive emergency blood plasma on-site before 13:45 hrs to survive.
  • On-Scene Delay: 15 minutes required at Delta to stabilise the patient and secure the stretcher.
  • Storm Inbound Cutoff: 16:00 hrs (all movement ceases).
  • Asset Rule: The Inflatable Boat (RIB) can carry the medic and plasma, but cannot carry a stretcher. The stretcher medevac requires the Land Rover.
